1 july, Gaushala- A 19-year-old youth died from an electric shock at Bhangaha municipality of Mahottari district. The District Police Office, Mahottari confirmed that Sanjaya Pandit, son of Sidhu Pandit of Manarasiswa municipality-4, died in the incident happened during the wedding ceremony.
A band to play the DJ music was hired for the wedding ceremony of a girl at Bhangaha municipality-2. Pandit, an assistant musical instrument player, suffered the shock last night in course of playing the music sitting on a chariot brought for the ride of bridegroom. Though he was rushed to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital, he breathed his last amidst treatment at 4:00 am today. The body has been kept at the Janakpur Zonal Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Police are investigating the case.
Meanwhile, a fugitive has been arrested after 24 years. Pitambar Jha, 50, of Balawa municipality-4 had been convicted of a guilty in a case of beating and sentenced two years in jail on January 16, 1995 was arrested Sunday, said Superintendent of Police Ishwor Karki. He was presented before the Mohattari District Court and sent to the Jaleshwor Court on Sunday evening itself. (RSS)
