21 june, janakpurdham- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav today described yoga as an integral part in building a healthy, prosperous and good cultured society.
He made this remark at a yoga camp organised jointly in Janakpurdham by Patanjali Yogapith Nepal, the Greater Janakpur Development Area, Indian Embassy, Janaki Temple and Patanjali Yogpith State 2 Committee on the occation of the Fifth International Yoga Day.
“Yoga is an important part in living a healthy and harmonious life in the context when the number of people falling ill and suffering from mental problems is increasing by the day due to stressful life.”
The Deputy Prime Minister said the Yoga has been in practice since ancient time and Gautam Buddha and spiritual leaders including sages had promoted it.
State 2 chief Ratneshworlal Kayastha highlighted the need of Yoga and meditation from its health aspects. “It keeps our mind and body sound and healthy.”
Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut spoke the need of practicing Yoga regularly in human life. Patanjali Yogapita Nepal’s chief Labha Dev Mishra presided over the programme which was attended by Rastriya Janata Party Nepal’s coordinator Anil Jha, House of Representatives member Rajendra Mahato, State 2 speaker Saroj Kumar Yadav, state minister for physical infrastructure Jitendra Sonal,economic affairs and planning minister Bijay Kumar Yadav, internal affairs and law minister Gyanendra Kumar Yadav and State Assembly member Kaushal Yadav.
