8 june, Balewa- A birthing centre has come into operation at the health post in Pala of Kathekhola rural municipality-1, Baglung district. The centre was established at the well-equipped new building of the health post completed recently.
The health post building was constructed at the cost of Rs. 16.2 million under the multi-year programme of the Government of Nepal. Chair of the rural municipality Amar Thapa inaugurated the building and its services at a programme organized here on Friday.
On the occasion Chair Thapa expressed the confidence that the building would be helpful in making health services accessible to every citizen. However, physical infrastructure alone is not enough, required personnel as well as medical tools and medicine are also equally important.
He also pledged to provide necessary support to ensure the retainment of the health workers in the village environment. (RSS)
