7 june, Dang- Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota, has said positive news could help ensure prosperity in the country. Minister Banskota argued Radio Nepal is the common property of all Nepalis.
Addressing a programme organized to open the State office of the Radio Nepal in Tulsipur today, Minister Banskota viewed, “Development is incremental; it may take two to three years for the achievement of any work. Journalists should not seek result of their work in one month.” According to him, with the accelerated development of technology, government was working to provide all citizens’ access to computer. Six telephone towers were set up in Dang, he said, adding that 4G service would begin in one year.
The transmission of Radio Dang news at 98 mega hertz runs from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm every day, while in Rolpa it is transmitted at 1033 mega hertz. The news is aired in Abadhi, Chaudhari and Magar languages.
On the occasion, Executive Director at Radio Nepal, Suresh Kumar Karki, said Radio Nepal would play important role to protect and promote State 5 art and culture.
The Minister also laid a foundation stone for a building of Radio Nepal. It will be constructed at the cost of Rs 21.7 million. Various leaders of the political parties and local representatives also attended the programme. (RSS)
