Dailekh mini truck plunge: victims identified

24 may, dailekh-The identity of the three people who were killed today when the mini-truck (Na 8 Kha 3283) they were travelling in met with an accident has been ascertained.

The mini-truck that fell some 300 metres down from the road at Nigal Jhapra, Gurans rural municipality-1 of Dailekh district was carrying food grain and going to Thantikandh riral municipality of Dailekh from Surkhet.
Those killed in the accident are Jor Bahadur Thapa, Dharma Thapa and Deependra Thapa of Thantikandh rural municipality-6, a local eyewitness, Himal Khatri, said.

A police team dispatched to the accident site from Dailekh under the command of Police Inspector Prem Chhetri has already reached to the site. Chhetri suspected that the mini-truck might have caught fire since a petrol jerry can was found in the mini-truck. The back tyre of the mini-truck is all burnt. The white vehicle has turned black.

The bodies of the victims are unrecognizable. The rice and packets of dry noodles that the mini-truck was carrying are scattered here and there on the steep hill slope, according to the locals.(RSS)
