In a formal discussion organized for and between social activists, popular media personalities and youth entrepreneurs last week- social security, gender discrimination in workplace and youth empowerment was talked upon. The discussion brought relevant thoughts and talks about Youth empowerment and youth contribution in development to build a prosperous nation with a bright future- for all citizens. Recently announced social security facilities by Government of Nepal which has also been appreciated by all of the Trade Unions and Labor experts was well acknowledged in the discussion considering social security as the bridge to healthy and prosperous tomorrow of Nepal.
The young professionals also communicated on the importance of fair labor practices, eradication of labor issues and utilization of existing resources to bring economic growth by sprouting entrepreneurship through innovative means and digital revolution.
Most of the speakers agreed that Government and Citizens of all gender are key players in not just making policies but implementing it and measuring the results of the implemented policies through utilization of youth to coordinate with the government.
“Supporting government in decent work and also contributing through participatory entrepreneurship is required in current political scenario and federal structure of Nepal was shared by a youth activist and Campaign Manager of Decent Work For Change- Mr. Chiranjivi Neupane”
Employment with respect was also advocated and various ways in which youth can contribute in step by step issues eradication in even the remote places of Nepal was also discussed and few conclusions were made too.
Fair treatment to professionals of any gender is key to utilizing talent for building pillars of success- was shared vocally throughout also supporting the current 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign.
“Youth as roots of change and seeing many youth entrepreneurs working to economically strengthen Nepal is a dream of all young professionals like us and this dream should be shaped through decent campaigns and coordination along with effort making individuals and stakeholders was expressed by youth leader Mr. Chiranjibi Neupane.”
These type of positive thought-provoking discussions are going to be organized in various different nooks and crannies of Nepal. Constructive discussions and work on making a better community through decent work establishment can definitely carry forward the movement of positive and desired change.
