Liverpool rejected back three massive Barcelona bids though and Coutinho saw a transfer offer declined by Anfield bosses in August. However, Barcelona are still trying to make the move for the Brazilian and will make another bid after the transfer window opens.
According to Diario Gol, the Catalan’s midfielder Rakitic sees Coutinho’s possible entry as a huge threat to his playing time.
And he’s supposedly told Barcelona’s ace Messi that: “if Coutinho comes I’m going”.
Rakitic is on the target of Serie A sides and wants to be among the players in Croatia’s team in 2018 World Cup.
Barcelona chief Josep Maria Bartomeu believes that an agreement for Coutinho can be finalized in January. Barca are hesitating to give Sergi Roberto in part-exchange so that they will have to pay £124m for the Liverpool talisman.
