27 June, Butwal- Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo, has called on Chief Minister of State-5, Shankar Pokhrel, today.
During the meeting held at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Ambassador Saigo said that Japan was always ready to help in development activities of Nepal to further strengthen existing friendly relation between the two countries.
Saying Buddhist culture has connected Nepal and Japan, Chief Minister Pokhrel said that Japan’s support was crucial in the context of development of Lumbini, reads a press release issued by Chief Minister’s Press Advisor, Sher Bahadur KC.
Chief Minister Pokhrel informed about immense potentialities of agricultural and industrial development in the state.
On the occasion, the Japanese Ambassador said that Japan would provide possible support in quality reform of education as well as development of health service and tourism, adding that Japan would move ahead by holding discussion regarding providing support to state and local government. The Chief Minister urged Ambassador Saigo to visit Lumbini. (RSS)
